Sydney Uni parking information
Known as the Hogwarts of downunder, the university is not just a place for academia but also a key tourist hotspot.
On-street parking
Street parking is extremely limited but if you’re lucky, you might be able to park in one of the quieter streets on the Newtown side of campus.
Off-street parking
Casual parking on-campus at either the Camperdown or Darlington campus costs $4 per hour or $24 per day. Most people parking here have paid for a yearly permit so you will be hard pressed to find a spot after 8am.
Parking is available at Broadway Shopping Centre. The first 2 hours are free and then its $6.50 per hour for every subsequent hour after that. Students can get a student discount of a flat $20 per day rate from Monday to Friday. This discount only applies if you park on levels 3A and 4 in the North car park.
The cheapest option is to park with Share with Oscar – spots around Redfern are available from just $1.85 per hour. Book
here.
Free parking
Parking in Broadway Shopping Centre is free after 6pm.
Public transport
If you are heading into uni, you can either catch a train to Redfern and then walk to campus. The walk takes about 10 minutes from the station.
Alternatively you can catch a bus to Broadway or City Road from several points in the city.
