Bondi parking information
It’s one of the most iconic beaches in Sydney but also one of the hardest areas to find parking. Here’s everything you need to know about travelling to Bondi.
On-street parking
Very limited street parking available.
Parking right next to the beach is $7.60 per hour (between 8am to 7pm) and $4.60 per hour after 7pm. There is also a 4 hour stay limit.
Street-parking near the shops is $5.40 per hour – time limits also apply.
If you haven’t already heard, Share with Oscar was borne out of the frustration of NOT finding parking at Bondi Beach.
Off-street parking
The Wilson Parking lot on Campbell Parade is available at $9 per hour or $58 per day.
Private spaces available on Share with Oscar for $3/hr or $18 per day. Check them out here.
Free parking
There’s only one street in Bondi with free all day parking – and that’s the top end of Hall Street (furthest away from the beach) this is all day parking, BUT you’d be hard pressed to find a spot, as locals all know about that too.
Streets around North Bondi have 2 hour free parking on the street, but the streets are tight, and you will find yourself circling.
Limited free parking is available by Bondi Beach after 7pm in Winter.
Public transport
To get to Bondi Beach, you can catch a train to Bondi Junction and take a bus (380, 381 or 382) to the beach. Buses should be available every 10 min but there is usually a bit of a line. Alternatively you can catch a bus from Circular Quay (333 or 380) which is a 45 min ride to the beach.
Nearby attractions
Bondi Beach, Bondi Pavillion and skate park, Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk, Icebergs Dining Room, Bondi markets, and great cafes and restaurants such as The Nine, Bills Bondi, Hurricane’s Grill & Bar, Bondi Hardware, Gelato Messina, Harrys Bondi, The Bucket List
Other information
There are parking inspectors at Bondi almost every weekend so be careful about exceeding parking limits or not topping up the meter.
