Whether you’re popping in for a meeting or checking out some of Sydney’s best tourist attractions, parking and The Rocks and Circular Quay is notoriously hard to find.
If you’re lucky enough to find yourself a spot on the street, parking rates are reasonable if you only need to stay for up to 2 hours.
On-street parking rates: $6.20 per hour (Mon – Fri 8am -6pm) for 2 hours maximum.
Off-peak parking rates: $3.90 per hour at all other times for 4 hours maximum.
The City of Sydney has a map of the pricing of parking meters (see here.)
Parking in this part of the city is especially expensive. Car parks in the area charge as much as $24 per hour or $80 per day. We recommend only checking these out if you are early enough to take advantage of early-bird rates.
Your best bet is to book a private space with Share with Oscar.
Our parking lot is located on Cumberland St (just a short 5 min walk from the Rocks and Circular Quay).
VIP parking available for just $6.35 per hour or $38.10 per day.
On top of that, it’s premium valet parking at a 5-star hotel so you’re not only saving money but also scoring a premium service where you don’t need to squeeze into a spot yourself.

You may prefer to lock in a permanent parking spot and save yourself the trouble of having to think about parking every day. Arranging monthly parking (whether it’s 24/7, just Monday to Friday, or for a few days a week) is also something Share with Oscar can help with. Monthly parking is also generally cheaper than booking daily as you are locking yourself in for the month.
Share with Oscar now also offers monthly parking across Sydney CBD. If you’re looking for a secure and undercover space with unlimited parking access to your spot, then you’re in the right place!
Check out our range of cheap monthly parking options here.
If you live near a train line, you can catch a train into Wynyard station and walk to either the Rocks or Circular Quay. Alternatively, you can change trains at either Central, Townhall or Wynyard and catch a City Circle train to Circular Quay.
If you live near a Ferry route, the Ferry is a fantastic and scenic way to travel into Circular Quay that can also help you beat the traffic. Here’s the link to Sydney’s Ferry Network.
If you don’t want to pay City parking rates, we recommend breaking up your trip and park at a station at the city’s peripheral and taking public transport in.
Share with Oscar has affordable spaces all across Sydney including next to Redfern, Central & Townhall train station. Check it out here.
