Cancellation Policy

We understand circumstances can change, so our Cancellation Policy aims to be straightforward and protect both parties who have entered into an agreement.

What is a booking?

If you have booked a spot that does not require owner approval, a booking is made once payment has been made. If you have submitted a booking request for a spot that requires owner approval, a booking is officially made when it is accepted by the spot owner. Payment for the first month will be automatically deducted once the owner approves this booking.

What happens when I cancel my booking?

Casual bookings (< 48 hours in duration)

For bookings less than 48 hours in duration, you may cancel a booking up to two hours prior to the start time of the booking without incurring a Cancellation Fee. If you cancel a booking within two hours prior to the time of the booking, you will be charged a Cancellation Fee of 50% of the booking fee. If you cancel a booking within 1 hour prior to the time of the booking, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Monthly bookings (>14 days in duration)

For bookings over 14 days in duration, we ask that both Spot Owners and Drivers provide one month’s notice when canceling or changing the terms of a booking. The notice period in the case of the Driver, allows them to organise an alternative parking space and for the Host provides them a chance to find another renter. If you do not provide at least 30 days notice, you will incur a fee equivalent to the 30 days of booking. If within the first 24 hours of the booking starting, you find that the space is unsuitable, your vehicle does not fit, the space is unavailable or the description is significantly inaccurate, you will be eligible for a full refund if you raise this issue within the first 24 hours of the booking starting. Any issues raised after this 24 hour period require the proper 30 day notice period. Note: this 24 hour exception does not apply for all Secure Parking locations.

Other bookings

For bookings under 14 days in duration but more than 48 hours in duration, you must provide at least 14 days notice before canceling or changing the terms of the booking. If you do not provide at least 14 days notice, you will incur a fee equivalent to the 14 days of booking.

How will a refund work?

Upon canceling a booking, the credits will be returned to your account. These credits can be used to book parking at any location on the platform and will not expire. Cash refunds will incur a 10% transaction fee.

How do I cancel my booking?

Casual bookings (< 48 hours in duration)

Log in to your account and go to ‘My Bookings’. Click on the relevant booking > ‘Edit Booking’ > ‘Cancel Booking’.

Monthly bookings (>14 days in duration)

Contact the team at contact@sharewithoscar.com to request to cancel your booking with 30 days notice. Please also include your reason for canceling and the last date the space will be used in your email.
