The shift towards more sustainable parking methods isn’t a question anymore, it’s a necessity. Especially with what we are seeing lately with what is going on with climate change and weather patterns on our Eastern Coast. Parking structures make up one of the largest land uses in our cities; these are also among the least occupied at any single moment, making them grossly inefficient in terms of function. Here at Oscar our main mission is changing the way we share our infrastructure and resources when we don’t use them, to create greener, smarter, and more liveable cities.

This isn’t for a lack of parking spaces, however, just that so much unused space for the most part of the day is hidden, locked away and private. Instead of building more unsustainable parking lots, let’s share what we already have: unused parking spots, and making the most efficient use of space.

Well, the big difference with Share with Oscar, is that you can rent your car park for as little as an hour. Meaning that you can even rent out your house’s car space just while you are at work. This opens it up for someone else to use and for you to use theirs OR someone else’s!
